Additionally, as a system partner, we offer complete engineering from project planning to the installation stage – for every drive solution for each special-purpose railway vehicle.

We also provide customized diesel-electricand diesel-mechanical drive solutions for special-purpose vehicles based on our diesel engines or mtu PowerPacks®. With their minimal exhaust-gas emissions, mtu diesel drives can also be smoothly installed in tunnel emergency trains and track-work trains for construction and maintenance work, for example on subway lines. For special-purpose railway vehicles that work at minimal or crawling speeds, we also offer diesel-hydrostatic drive variants.
