  • Good work-life balance complements material incentives

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, GERMANY – International exchanges, development programs for managers and employees, personal health management – it was these features of its forward-looking human resources policy that recently won Rolls-Royce Power Systems the accolade of 'Top Employer' for the ninth time in succession. The company also belongs to a select group of 'Top Engineering Employers', an accolade of particular importance when it comes to attracting young engineering talent. And, once again, the company was also judged to be a 'Fair Company' in terms of working conditions and opportunities offered to interns.

“When it comes to attracting specialist employees, soft factors and a good corporate culture are becoming ever more important. That's why we offer a multitude of options aimed at achieving a better work-life balance,” said Marcus A. Wassenberg, CFO & HR Director at Rolls-Royce Power Systems. The panel of judges liked that. In fact, before awarding the 'Top Employer' accolade, the Top Employers Institute looks at a company's talent management strategy, personnel planning, employee development and training, employee performance management, management development, career and succession planning, remuneration and benefits, and also corporate culture and innovation. As last year, the Institute highlighted the company's human resources work in the areas of talent management strategy, corporate culture and employee performance management. This award makes the company one of a select group of 'Top Employers' and – of particular importance in attracting young engineering talent – 'Top Engineering Employers'.
