32 APPRENTICES COMPLETE THEIR VOCATIONAL TRAINING AT ROLLS-ROYCE POWER SYSTEMS

32 apprentice trainees have successfully completed their vocational training at Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Friedrichshafen this summer, with three of them receiving a special award for scoring an average mark of 1.4 or more in their final examinations: Andreas Futterer (industrial mechanic), Andreas Matt (metal technology specialist) and Alexander Gomeringer (product designer) were awarded prizes by the Lake Constance & Upper Swabia Chamber of Trade & Industry.

32 Auszubildende haben zum Sommer ihre Ausbildung bei Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Friedrichshafen erfolgreich abgeschlossen. „Ich freue mich, dass alle Auszubildende gute Übernahmeplätze haben. Das war ein toller Jahrgang, der sich immer gegenseitig unterstützt hat. Nun beginnt für die jungen Leute ein wichtiger neuer Lebensabschnitt“, sagt Ausbildungsleiter Martin Stocker (Zweiter von links) 32 apprentice trainees have successfully completed their vocational training at Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Friedrichshafen this summer. “I'm delighted that all trainees have secured good employment positions. FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, GERMANY – 32 apprentice trainees have successfully completed their vocational training at Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Friedrichshafen this summer, with three of them receiving a special award for scoring an average mark of 1.4 or more in their final examinations: Andreas Futterer (industrial mechanic), Andreas Matt (metal technology specialist) and Alexander Gomeringer (product designer) were awarded prizes by the Lake Constance & Upper Swabia Chamber of Trade & Industry. They – and all other finishers – have been offered contracts of employment in their respective disciplines. “I'm very pleased for our summer apprenticeship graduates, and delighted that they are starting their careers with us. The fact that no less than three of them have won awards for their outstanding performance demonstrates that our apprenticeship training is delivering excellent results,” said Marcus A. Wassenberg, CFO and HR Director at Rolls-Royce Power Systems.

The apprenticeship graduates included, in all, 20 industrial mechanics, two design mechanics, one metal technology specialist, six mechatronics technicians and three technical product designers. Prizewinner Andreas Futterer is now going to be working as a technician in the special production unit for machined parts. Andreas Matt has secured a job as technician in the metalworking shop, and Alexander Gomeringer will be commencing a dual work/study degree course in mechanical engineering, specializing in design engineering and development, at MTU Friedrichshafen. “I'm delighted that all trainees have secured good employment positions. This was a great group of trainees who gave and received a great deal of mutual support along the way. The young people are now entering an important new stage in their lives,” said Apprentice Training Manager Martin Stocker.
