Friedrichshafen, 6 April 2011. For the third time in a row, the specialist for propulsion and power solutions Tognum has been rated as one of the most attractive companies to work for in Germany. What's more, the latest rating represents a massive year-on-year improvement. For 2011, Tognum was once again among the "Top Employers for Engineers" and "Top Employers in Germany", impressing in particular with its first-class ratings in the "Primary Benefits" category – 1st and 2nd position respectively – as assessed by the research institute CRF. This category includes remuneration, benefits, performance-based remuneration, company pension, and a transparent remuneration policy. Tognum also performed exceptionally well in the other rated categories.
In the "Top Employers for Engineers 2011" category, Tognum came 5th out of 37 companies. And of the 101 companies which qualified as "Top Employers in Germany 2011", Tognum was 19th in the overall classification.
The globally active research institute CRF has certified companies with exemplary human-resource management across all industries throughout Germany since 2003. In addition, this is already the fourth time that CRF has awarded an accolade for companies which are particularly attractive employers for engineers. Young academics in particular can therefore get guidance for launching their careers and finding a suitable employer. By way of example, Tognum's internationally oriented trainee program offers them ideal preparation for high-responsibility positions.
The two current 'Top Employers' studies analyze and evaluate the participating companies based on six criteria: career possibilities; primary benefits; secondary benefits; work-life balance (including communication culture, incentives for top performers, vacation allowances, overtime compensation, and flexible working-hours and home-office models); training and development; corporate culture.
"The multiple 'Top Employers' accolades and the comparison with other companies confirm that our HR focus is just right", says Joachim Coers, member of the Tognum Board of Management and Labor Director. "We are especially pleased to have leapt from 18th to 5th position in the 'Top Employers' category since last year." Tognum also jumped from 41st position in 2010 to 19th position in the "Top Employers in Germany 2011" category.
