Alstom Coradia Lint is a family of diesel railcars used for regional public transport. In German, 'LINT' stands for 'Leichter innovativer Nahverkehrstriebwagen' (lightweight, innovative regional transport railcar). Each railcar is driven by two mtu rail Powerpacks based on 6H Series 1800 R85L engines. The Powerpacks deliver 390 kW and meet the EU Stage IIIB emissions requirements that have been in force since 2012 using an integrated SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system that reduces nitrate emissions. In-engine, soot particulates are also reduced by 90%.

Gama locomotives from Pesa

From 2015, Polish rail company PKP Intercity is to deploy Gama 111Db locomotives built by Pesa. The Polish-built locomotives are equipped with 16-cylinder Series 4000 R84 engines from mtu. Delivering 2,400 kW power, these diesel engines facilitate locomotive speeds up to 160 km/h. Featuring EGR, Common Rail fuel injection and diesel particulate filters, they also comply with the EU Stage IIIB emission standard. Two-stage engine turbocharging provides high charge-air pressures for enhanced power and the lowest possible particulate emissions levels.
The D 60 C is a design of diesel-hydraulic switch engine built by the Gmeinder Lokomotivenfabrik GmbH in Mosbach/Baden. In April 2013, Logistik Service GmbH (LogServ) in Austria ordered two of these locomotives based on 12-cylinder Series 1600 engines from mtu. Further locomotives are planned.
The G 12 and DE 18 are Vossloh's new diesel-hydraulic locomotives for switching operations and freight transport. The G 12 is powered by an 8-cylinder Series 4000 R43 engine from mtu delivering 1,200 kW. The same engine in a 12-cylinder version powers the DE 18.

Vossloh G 12

The G 12 and DE 18 are Vossloh's new diesel-hydraulic locomotives for switching operations and freight transport. The G 12 is powered by an 8-cylinder Series 4000 R43 engine from mtu delivering 1,200 kW. The same engine in a 12-cylinder version powers the DE 18.
