Running, climbing, football. Fun and games with Tognum

Sport enthusiasts in the Lake Constance/Upper Swabia region should make a definite note of 6 October in their diaries. On that date, Tognum, the specialist for propulsion and power solutions will be holding its first “FUNSports³” event at the Forstwiesen sports ground in Immenstaad.

Sport mit Spiel und Spaß: Am 6. Oktober veranstaltet Tognum zum ersten Mal "FUNSports³" auf dem Sportgelände Forstwiesen in Immenstaad mit Wettbewerben in den Sportarten Laufen, Fußball und Klettern - die beiden letzten nur für Mitarbeiter von Tognum, mtu, Cassidian, Astrium und Mercedes-Benz-Niederlassung Ravensburg. Schon jetzt freuen sich darauf (v. li.) Sport, fun and games: On October 6, Tognum will be holding its first "FUNSports³" event at the Forstwiesen sports ground in Immenstaad. The disciplines involved are running, football and climbing. The last two are only open to employees from Tognum, MTU Friedrichshafen and their partners in cooperation Cassidian, Astrium and Mercedes-Benz/Ravensburg. Friedrichshafen, 25 July 2012. Sport enthusiasts in the Lake Constance/Upper Swabia region should make a definite note of 6 October in their diaries. On that date, Tognum, the specialist for propulsion and power solutions will be holding its first “FUNSports³” event at the Forstwiesen sports ground in Immenstaad. The “3” stands for the three disciplines involved (running, football and climbing) as well as for the three partners. The 30km and 12km running events are open to all comers whilst the football and climbing competitions are limited to employees from Tognum, MTU Friedrichshafen and their partners in cooperation Cassidian, Astrium and Mercedes-Benz/Ravensburg. Prospective participants can register now on-line at www.funsports.tognum.com. The event offers employees, their families and guests a wide-ranging program of sport and activities for all ages. There will also be various information stands covering issues such as sport, exercise and health in the workplace. A drink/drive simulator, lactate measurement, mini-massages, a golf simulator and XXL table football will also be available with attractions from the Ravensburger Spieleland theme park rounding off the event.

FUNSports³ is an important element in Tognum’s integrated concept of health management at the company. It also provides an opportunity for the participants to get to know each other, exchange ideas and simply enjoy the event together.

The runs from Ravensburg to Immenstaad via Oberteuringen will undoubtedly attract competitive athletes and weekend runners alike. There are three options on offer: the long route for real long-distance competitors covers the 30km from Ravensburg to Lake Constance taking in the autumnal charm of the countryside around Oberteuringen. If that is too far, entrants can also join in at Oberteuringen for the 12km route which is also open to Nordic walkers.
  
Employees’ children are likewise welcome to take part. They can compete in the “FUNSports³ Bambini Run” along Immenstaad’s keep-fit course in the vicinity of the stadium.
