As Executive Vice President Sales, Rainer Breidenbach´s aim, among other goals, is to simplify global sales processes. “We must get even closer to customers in the market and make quicker decisions on site“ explains Breidenbach. This goes hand in hand with a strengthening of the sales regions: “The salesperson on location knows customers´ needs best.“

Rainer Breidenbach was born in 1955 in Bergisch-Gladbach. After training as a commercial specialist for industrial applications at Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG in Cologne, and while also pursuing his full-time career, he completed studies in business management, graduating in 1982 as a certified business manager.

From November 1976 until October 2001, Rainer Breidenbach held various global sales management positions with the diesel engine manufacturer Deutz AG, for example from 1993 as Senior Sales Executive for industrial engines. That same year, he became a member of the Board of Management at Deutz Motor Industriemotoren GmbH.

From November 1995 until the end of 1996, Breidenbach was Managing Director of Deutz Motor GmbH before he assumed responsibility as Senior Sales Executive and fully authorized representative of Deutz AG in early 1997. In October 1998, he was appointed as a member of the Board of Management of Deutz AG, a position he held until late 2000, before taking up duties as a consultant to Deutz until October 2001.

From November 2001 until February 2002, Rainer Breidenbach advanced the re-orientation of the Eder Holding AG in Munich before being appointed as Managing Director of Polaris GmbH in the summer of 2002. At the same time, he worked as a consultant and Supervisory Board member for various European and non-European industrial companies and trade organizations. In May 2005, he assumed responsibility for the sales division of MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH.
