Powerful Engines for Mining Trucks
Going the distance with the heavyweights.
Powerful Dumper Engines
Mining dumpers in tar sands and opencast mines demand diesel engines that guarantee maximum performance, higher load capacities and payloads, as well as minimal costs per ton of material moved. Our diesel engines for heavy transport vehicles, such as the Series 2000 or Series 4000, are specially designed for 24/7 continuous use in opencast mines.
Even when operating at full load they offer a huge amount of torque from low engine speeds, allowing the mining trucks to haul payload of up to 450 tons up steep inclines – regardless of altitude, temperature or extreme dust. BelAZ 75710, the world’s largest mining truck is exclusively powered by two mtu 16V4000 engines.
